About Our Sports Calculators

The stats tools follow the sports' own definitions: baseball stats (batting average, slugging, fielding percentage, magic number) as defined in MLB's official glossary, and cricket tools built on the ICC's rules — including a Duckworth-Lewis-Stern estimator and a follow-on checker based on MCC Law 14.

The strength and endurance tools are research-backed rather than rulebook-backed: one-rep max uses the Epley equation with a validated factor table, the Wilks score uses the classic coefficients that powerlifting federations used for decades, and pace tools use straight distance-time math. Each page says which method it runs and where the method comes from.

Sports Calculators — FAQs

Do the stats calculators use official definitions?

Yes — baseball stats follow MLB's standard-stats glossary and cricket tools follow ICC playing conditions and the MCC Laws of Cricket, with those sources linked on each page. Where a tool simplifies (like our DLS estimator, which approximates the full resource tables), the page says so.

How accurate is the one-rep-max estimate?

The Epley equation is most reliable for sets of 10 reps or fewer taken close to failure — typically within a few percent of a tested max in that range. A 3–5 rep set gives the best balance of accuracy and safety; beyond 10 reps, muscular endurance skews every 1RM formula.

Can I use these for fantasy leagues or training plans?

That's what they're for — quick, definition-correct stats without spreadsheet formulas. For training, pair the one-rep-max estimate with percentage-based programming (70–90% of your estimated max) and re-test every few weeks.
